During Treatment
The treatment is non-invasive with no downtime. Get ready for glowing skin!
- The first step is cleansing and exfoliation. Your clinician will use the HydraFacial wand to gently remove dead skin cells and open up your pores.
- Next, the wand will deliver a gentle yet effective peel to loosen pore debris.
- The third step is extraction. The device will use its painless vortex vacuum suction to remove blackheads and impurities from your pores.
- Lastly, your clinician will use the wand to apply a soothing serum to hydrate the skin.
- 03
Post-Treatment
Your skin will look soft and dewy immediately after the treatment. For lasting results, schedule your next session in four to six weeks.
- For the next 6 hours: Avoid showering, applying makeup and exercising. You’ll want to keep your face dry to seal in the serums.

Common questions
Who can get a HydraFacial?
A HydraFacial is a popular skin treatment and works for all skin types. It requires no downtime and is completely non-invasive.
What's the difference between a Signature and Boost HydraFacial?
The Signature Hydrafacial system is a vacuum to cleanse and exfoliate the skin, extract impurities from pores, and hydrate the skin by saturating the surface with intense moisturizers and nourishing, personalized ingredients.
The Boost HydraFacial adds a medical-grade serum to address your specific skin concerns. You can choose between serums for hydration, hyperpigmentation, aging, or acne.
How often should I get a HydraFacial?
We recommend making HydraFacial a consistent part of your routine to see lasting results. Treatment every 4-6 weeks is an ideal cadence.
We also recommend getting a HydraFacial 24-48 hours before an event for glowing skin.
When should I expect to see results?
Immediately post-treatment, you’ll notice brighter, cleaner skin. Within 4 repeat sessions, you can see an improvement in skin concerns like hyperpigmentation, texture, and acne, which improve with more frequent treatments. Your Modern Age clinician can recommend how often you should receive a HydraFacial and when you can expect to begin seeing results.
What should I expect post treatment?
You may experience some redness immediately after treatment, but this should only last 15-30 minutes.
We recommend avoiding makeup, retinol, exfoliated acids, or any other chemical or physical skin exfoliant for at least 24 hours post-treatment.
Also, be sure to keep applying your sunscreen post-treatment! Protecting your skin from harmful rays will help prolong results.
What other treatments does this work well with?
We love pairing this treatment with our LED Light Therapy and/or Skin Health IV Drip Therapy to maximize your results. Your Modern Age clinician can also recommend products to take home to help you maintain your results and achieve your skin goals.
Is the HydraFacial painful?
No, the HydraFacial is painless and a relaxing experience.
Can I get a HydraFacial if I am pregnant or lactating?
Modern Age provides a modified HydraFacial for women who are pregnant or lactating. We exclude certain products that contain Salicylic Acid during your HydraFacial. We recommend speaking with your Modern Age clinician to learn more about this and to speak with your OB-GYN if you have any concerns.
